Surprisingly, the Hawks PP
isn't great either. With the PK team blocking shots, it seems a lot harder to get clean shots.

I think Dillon is better when he doesn't have Polak as a partner. I wouldn't say he is a liability, but I wouldn't say he is good. I haven't seen enough of the Cuda to say how I feel about Mueller so far.

Many times
The secondary assist is what starts the play. Example; a dman sees a FW streaking up the middle. He hits him on the tape, setting up a 2 on 1 that the other forward finishes. That play doesn't happen without that outlet pass. Another example is on a PP. A dman has the puck at the point, sees a FW open in the low slot, passes up a shot to feed the FW. The D rotates, and the FW kicks it over to an open player in the high slot who finishes the goal. Again, that secondary assist is just as important as the primary assist.

Is his refusal to admit any value in traditional stats. I have nothing against fancy stats. They help enhance the experience, no doubt, but Sundy clings to them like they are the only thing that matters.

I think possession stats work best for positions that don't necessarily need scoring to be useful, like Defense or a 4th line forward. But a first line forward or PP, who's sole job is to put the puck in the net, you can't just discount a lack of production with "well, but their fenwick is great!"

This Sharks team does pretty well on possession, but they spend a LOT of that time on the perimeter of the zone. Not going to do much with that.

but I switched to 77 because I don't take clappers and you can get more velocity on a quick release with a 77. It is like a wet noodle down low on the boards though. I've gotten used to it.
