One of the Sharks biggest problems
None of our best players can actually take a game over at this point of their career. They are completely dependent on the system of the team being a well oiled machine
Thornton, Couture, Pavelski. None of them are game breakers like Matthews, Crosby, Kane, McDavid, I could list 15 more guys, but you get the point.

-scoring by committee approach is risky with Donskoi, Ward, Boedker, kids being wild cards

I've been pretty critical of Donskoi since early last year
Weak on his skates, gets knocked down too easy. Can't win battles on the boards, his shot more often flutters towards the net than anything else and when Donskoi gets in a 2v1 with Hertl a minute ago, he doesn't even get the puck an inch off the ice to clear the defenders stick. That's a beer league play.

yeah, i've been hopeful that Donskoi can get good, but I kinda feel like he is never going to be a 20+ gpalz guy, more like a 12-15ish player. He makes some really good stick plays, but he isn't good enough to create on his own or help out his linemates significantly.
