Oilers @ Sharks
SJSTFan 6 April 2017
Yes folks, the final countdown is upon us. The Sharks will prepare for battle and an eventual Stanley Cup victory in only a week from now. In the meantime though, we need to make our most likely first round opponent our bitch. This is going to be a tall order though. Both Couture and Thornton are still sidelined with injuries. Michael Haley also slots into the lineup tonight, a curious move by Peter DeBoer because the Sharks have only won 3 of their last 11 games. All three of the victories involved Timo Meier and not Haley. I have no other stats to back this up, but I find it odd that DeBoer does not ride with the slightly hot hand (Sharks weren't that great in their last 2 wins).
Anyways, this is the last shot the Sharks have at trying to salvage home ice advantage for the first round.
Players to look for:
Sharks:
Hertl and Donskoi for the Sharks look to build upon recent upticks in offensive productions.
Oilers:
Oilers first line. This is a good preview to see if the Sharks can lock down the Oilers first line without Couture (our best defensive center). This is a matchup that will likely determine the outcome of the first round of the playoffs, if we do end up matching up.
The Final Countdown is upon us
Time for the Paper Army (Oilers) To face the music!
