I keep hoping
they're lulling teams to sleep with the Sharks PP woes during the regular season so that when the playoffs come around, they'll implement what they know will work and the PP becomes unstoppable again

Yea, that's what I was kind of thinking too. It's just the passes seem off and the chances are few and far between. Got to improve that.

Still outshot the Stars
Every period of the game and would have vastly outshot and outchanced them if our defenders knew how to not get their shots blocked on every other attempt. This reminds me of the SCF, our defenders aren't getting the puck on the net at all.

this is larger scale than 1 unlucky period against the Devils though: it's a broken system. Powerplay is fucking worthless, offense is incredibly predictable, and whenever a forward finds open space in the offensive zone, it's either a shot that goes way wide or is some feeble attempt at a tip. We were playing our best when we were focusing on solid, responsible defensive play and being creative yet productive (in terms of shots) offensively. I can't be the only person who has realized everything I've mentioned with this team. Get back to your foundation and, for the love of God, play with some damn pride

I think the defense
is a big part of that problem. Ward and Thornton have also been slow on the forecheck and not winning very many battles.
